A 15-year-old girl saved a family from a fire.
On August 29 a private residential house caught fire in the settlement of Bogorodskoye. The fire was noticed by the homeowners' 15-year-old daughter, who was on the veranda at the time. Her parents and older sister were inside the house.
Woken by a strong smell of smoke, the girl saw flames spreading along a wooden wall and did not hesitate: she first called her parents to tell them about the fire, and then summoned EMERCOM personnel. The adults and children managed to leave the burning house, so there were no injuries.
According to Anna Anisimova, head of the supervision and prevention division of the Russian EMERCOM, the cause of the fire is being determined. She praised the girl's competent actions, which helped prevent a tragedy.
