As reported by Alexander Shtin, chairman of the Kirov branch of the Russian Ecological Society, a project is being prepared to participate in the 2026 competition of the Presidential Nature Fund. The application will concern the improvement of the grounds of the dendrological park.
The project envisages the installation of benches and a gazebo by the pond, improvement of the spring, creation of a safe descent to the water, clearing the area of hazardous trees, standing deadwood and wild undergrowth. It also foresees the development of regulations for the maintenance of the pond and the enhancement of the shoreline, according to the government of Kirov Oblast.
According to the authorities, Kirov residents will be involved in preparing the project: a survey will be conducted to find out how residents want the dendrological park to look.
