Moose hunting during the rut has begun in Kirov Oblast.

      From September 1 the season for hunting adult male moose during the rut begins in the Kirov Region. It will run until September 30.

      As specialists remind, this type of hunting is particularly spectacular and challenging, since it coincides with the animals’ mating period. During this time moose become significantly more active, move around more frequently and may come onto roads.

      In this regard drivers are asked to be extremely careful at night and when driving near forested areas, and to observe speed limits to avoid collisions with wild animals.
