The municipal beach in Kirov, which was the only one this year to receive a positive assessment from Rospotrebnadzor, remained in an unsatisfactory condition for a long time. Visitors complained about a broken shower, dirty grounds and portable toilets that could not be entered. The route to the beach posed additional risks — visitors had to reach it via an unsafe footbridge.
The situation changed after an inspection by the People's Front and an appeal to the regulatory authorities. As a result, a sandy approach to the footbridge was made, the area was cleaned up, the shower was repaired, the portable toilets were put in order, and the operation of the first-aid post was restored. However, the improvements came at the end of the season, so beachgoers will no longer be able to assess them.
The ONF reported that a petition had been sent to the City Improvement Directorate to include in the 2026 budget funds for the construction of a new bridge with handrails and convenient steps. Whether it will be built is not yet known.
