RSPP: The deterioration of the business climate in industry has slowed.
Note that values above 50 points indicate an improvement in the business climate, while those below indicate its deterioration.
According to the survey, the easing of negative trends is linked to an increase in positive assessments of the business climate overall: the share of companies reporting negative changes fell by 9% compared with July. The corresponding subindex rose from 39.4 to 43.1 points.
An improvement was also recorded in assessments of business interaction with the state and financial institutions: the B2G indicator moved into positive territory for the first time in several months — 50.8 points versus 49.2 a month earlier. The majority of respondents noted stability in relations, and the share of positive assessments exceeded negative ones in dealings both with financial organizations and with government authorities.
The B2B subindex, reflecting business-to-business interaction, also showed some strengthening: 46.9 points versus 46.1 in July. At the same time, complaints about reduced new orders decreased; however, the share of companies that experienced counterparties failing to fulfill obligations rose to 28.7%.
Negative dynamics persisted in assessments of the market for manufactured products (43.8 points, down 1.4) and in logistics (50.1 points, down 0.3). More than half of enterprises reported an increase in purchase prices, whereas selling prices remained virtually unchanged.
