Rospotrebnadzor: no chlorine was detected in the water and air of "More Park".
The agency said that, in response to reports of a deterioration in the health of visitors to the pool at the More Park wellness complex, the Department is conducting a sanitary-epidemiological investigation to determine the causes and circumstances of the deterioration in the visitors' health. Specialists from the Department collected water samples from the pool and air samples from above the water surface. "According to the results of laboratory tests, it was established that the chloroform content in air samples taken above the water surface, and the chloroform and residual chlorine content in the pool water samples, comply with hygienic standards," the agency said, adding that measures to establish the causes and circumstances of the incident are ongoing. Recall that on the evening of August 25 it became known that several people, including children, were hospitalized from the wellness complex in Kirov with symptoms of chlorine poisoning. The Investigative Committee for the Kirov Region has initiated a preliminary inquiry into the incident. It was later reported that five people, including two children, were hospitalized. Medical personnel assessed the condition of the victims as satisfactory; no serious health impairments were recorded. On the same day, More Park announced the temporary suspension of the complex's operations. The facility noted that on August 26 the thermal zone is closed for a sanitary day, while the gym is operating normally.
