Police described how the search for the child who went missing in the forest unfolded.

Recall that yesterday, August 26, at around 7:00 p.m., police were notified about a 7-year-old boy reported missing. In the morning it was reported that the child had been found. The Kirov regional branch of the Russian Interior Ministry provided further details about how the search was conducted.

It emerged that the day before the boy had been at a dacha with his family in one of the gardening associations near the settlement of Murygino in Yuryansky District. Together with his grandfather, the child went mushroom picking in the forest near the gardening community. During the outing the pensioner realized that his grandson had disappeared from his line of sight and had not returned home.

Personnel from the intermunicipal department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs "Yuryansky" and the "Muryginskoye" police station were immediately deployed to search for the child. In addition, officers from the regional MIA department for the use and operation of robotic complexes and unmanned aerial systems arrived at the scene. Volunteers from a search squad, together with concerned local residents, joined the police officers. More than 50 people took part in the search for the boy.

The search lasted all evening and night, and the forested area was combed. By morning, officers of the Yuryansky district police had located the child in the forest near the dacha settlement. The boy did not require medical assistance, despite having spent the entire night in the forest. The child was handed over to his legal representatives.
