Oleg Valenchuk: Our gardeners are real heroes!

      This event, which has already become a cherished tradition for the Kirov region, turned into a true harvest festival, showcasing not only the abundance of Vyatka land but also the resilience, skill and undying enthusiasm of local residents.

      Thanks to the initiative of the Kirov regional organization of veterans and the chairman of the Union of Gardeners of Russia, Oleg Valenchuk, the exhibition took on an inter-district scale. The tables were groaning under the abundance of vegetables, fruits, berries and a variety of preserves.

      “The ‘Vyatskiye – Khvatskiye Gardeners’ competition is a generous, hospitable and welcoming celebration. Here we see culture, national traditions, and the love and care put into every fruit,” Oleg Valenchuk noted. “Our gardeners are real heroes; their labor is the guarantee of the country’s food security, the best proof that no sanctions or whims of the weather can scare us.”

      Tamara Vasilievna Bakuleva, an active gardener of the primary veterans’ organization of OJSC Vesna, expressed deep gratitude to the Union of Gardeners for its great help in providing veterans with quality planting material:

      “Many thanks to the Union of Gardeners of Russia for generously supplying us with seeds. My daughter and I were able to create the ‘Vegetable Lady’ from these seeds, which won the hearts of many viewers. We are sincerely grateful for the opportunity to realize our ideas and bring joy to those around us!”

      The event concluded with a solemn awards ceremony. All participants received diplomas, and the winners — valuable gifts from Oleg Valenchuk.
