In Kirov, work has begun at cemeteries to remove hazardous trees. Around 500 trees posing a threat to safety are planned to be removed. The funds for this were allocated by a decision of the city duma deputies.
The Kirov administration added that all the trees were assessed beforehand. First, specialists will remove dry trunks that have long needed clearing; they will mainly be taken out along roads and next to fences bordering the street and road network. The largest volume of work will be carried out at the cemeteries in Makarye and at the Fileysky, Petelinsky and Mezrinsky burial grounds.
The contractor will also chip branches and remove woody waste from the cemeteries. All work is planned to be completed within two months.
