In Kirov, cars were handed over to veterans of the special military operation.
On August 25, the Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of Russia, Irek Faizullin, is on a working visit to the Kirov Region.
The first item on the agenda was a visit to the Center for Medical Rehabilitation and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment for participants of the special military operation in the settlement of Mitino. The center was established in 2024. To set it up, a major renovation was carried out on a non-residential building in the sanatorium-resort zone using extrabudgetary funds raised by State Duma deputy Rakhim Azimov. The funding for the work amounted to 125 million rubles. The center’s equipment and outfitting were financed from the budget of the Kirov Region.
During the visit, Irek Faizullin, Kirov Region Governor Alexander Sokolov and State Duma deputy Rakhim Azimov spoke with service members undergoing rehabilitation. The participants of the special military operation praised the conditions created for their rehabilitation.
After visiting the center, a ceremony was held to present cars to veterans of the special military operation who had been wounded and disabled. The cars were purchased with extrabudgetary funds raised by Rakhim Azimov. This is the third such presentation this year. Today 10 veterans received new cars. A total of 30 cars have been handed over since the beginning of the year.
Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of Russia Irek Faizullin noted that excellent conditions have been created in the Kirov Region for the recovery of service members:
- In the Kirov Region, worthy conditions have been created for the recovery of our service members. A tremendous amount of work has been carried out by the regional government and State Duma deputy Rakhim Azimov. What is happening today — the handing over of keys to our servicemen, participants of the special military operation — is an important step in supporting them. I would like to wish everyone health, strength and a successful rehabilitation.
Rakhim Azimov thanked the Minister for his attention to regional development issues:
- Irek Envarovich and the ministry he leads pay great attention to supporting participants in the special military operation. That is precisely why today, together with the Minister and the governor of the Kirov Region, we are once again presenting cars to Kirov veterans. Supporting participants in the special military operation is one of the most important tasks set by the President of Russia, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. Every fighter should feel that the whole country is with him, that we are together. This is our common duty.

- I want to thank everyone who took part in creating this center, and especially our State Duma deputy Rakhim Azimov for his huge contribution to the project's implementation. The United Russia party continually supports initiatives to help our veterans. Presenting cars to participants of the special military operation has become a good tradition — and it is Rakhim Azimov who organizes this work. Today we have once again managed to do another good deed together and hand over new domestically produced cars to our men. We express our deep gratitude to you, dear veterans; thank you for your military service.
