In July the Ministry of Environmental Protection carried out an unscheduled inspection of the Laktis enterprise located in the settlement of Pizhanka. Specialists found that it had been discharging insufficiently treated wastewater into the Murytka River, which led to its pollution. As a result, the company was issued an order to remedy the violations. An administrative protocol was also drawn up. The damage caused to the water body will be assessed in the near future. The ministry hopes the company will allocate funds to modernize its treatment facilities. Monitoring of compliance with the order will continue.
