
Russian Post was fined 230 million rubles for violating the terms of branch modernization.
An Audit Chamber inspection of the Russian Federation found that Russian Post failed to meet the plan to modernize post offices. By the end of 2023 and 2024 the organization was to have upgraded at least 1,282 and 773 branches respectively. As of January 1, 2024, 767 branches had actually been modernized, and as of January 1, 2025, 664.
Moreover, the reports provided to the Ministry of Digital Development contained inaccurate data on the number of modernized facilities.
Following the inspection, the Accounts Chamber initiated an administrative offense case under Part 2 of Article 15.15.4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. The magistrates' court found Russian Post guilty and imposed a fine of 230.6 million rubles.
