The Investigative Committee reminded Kirov residents that an open window is dangerous for children.
The agency notes that falling from a window remains one of the causes of child injuries and fatalities. Children are especially vulnerable because of their curiosity.
To avoid tragedies, parents are advised to:
- equip windows with opening restrictors and child locks;
- use only the vertical opening mode of the window for ventilation;
- not leave a child alone in a room with an open window, even for a short time;
- remove furniture that a toddler could climb onto the windowsill.
"Your child's life is in your hands," emphasized the Investigative Committee.
