The championship of the Kirov Formation of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation in military-applied sports was held in Kirov. Twenty-five people, grouped into six teams, took part in the competitions.
Participants competed in running in uniform over 100 and 3,000 meters, as well as in grenade throwing for distance.
According to the press service of the Rosgvardiya Directorate for Kirov Oblast, in the overall team competition the first two places were taken by teams of Kirov Rosgvardiya units, and third place went to servicemen from the city of Votkinsk (Udmurt Republic).
Captain Vladimir Galushko, head of physical training and sports of the Kirov Formation of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, noted that the winners and prize-winners will join the Kirov Formation team that will represent the region at the championship of the Privolzhsky Order of Zhukov District of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation in military-applied sports. The competitions will be held in Tolyatti in September of this year.
