In the village of Gorodishche, people are waiting for a bus by the side of the highway.
In the village of Gorodishche in Sanchursky District, the bus stops remain unequipped. They are used daily by residents of the village and the neighboring villages of Vypolzovo and Pigozino, who travel to Sanchursk, Kirov and Yoshkar-Ola.
On Shkolnaya Street there are two places where buses stop according to the schedule. On the side of house No. 16 there is a sign, but there are no benches or a shelter. On the other side of the street, by the House of Culture, there is not even a sign marking a stop.
Passengers have to wait for transport right on the shoulder of a busy road. This creates inconvenience for pensioners, parents with children and other residents who regularly need to travel to the district center for errands, to the hospital, to school and to work.
Despite appeals to the local administration, the situation did not change for a long time. In the end, people filed a complaint to the president’s direct line. Activists from the People’s Front took up the issue.
The administration is considering moving the stop closer to the Yaransk–Sanchursk–Mari El border road and is seeking funding. A request has also been sent to the prosecutor’s office to check compliance with requirements for equipping stops on this section of the road.
