A three-year-old boy fell out of a window in Bakhta.

On August 13, Police Department No. 1 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Kirov was informed that a 3-year-old child who had been injured after falling from a window had been taken to the Center for Traumatology, Orthopedics and Neurosurgery.

Police officers determined that in the evening in Bakhte the child had been at home with his grandmother. While she stepped into the kitchen, the boy climbed onto the windowsill and opened the window. The mosquito net he leaned on could not support his weight, and he fell outside. At the moment his life is not in danger. Officers of Police Department No. 1 are conducting an investigation.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Kirov Region reminds that young children must not be left unattended in rooms with open windows and balconies, and they should not be shown how window sashes open. Furniture and other items that a child could climb on should not be placed near the windowsill. Remember that a mosquito net will not hold the weight of a child leaning on it.

It is necessary to use special restrictors and locking devices that prevent children from opening windows on their own.
