In Kirovo-Chepetsk, a two-year-old toddler fell out of a window.
Yesterday, August 10, in the afternoon, the intermunicipal division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Kirovo-Chepetsky” was notified that a boy born in 2023 had been transported from Kirovo-Chepetsk to the regional Center for Traumatology, Orthopedics and Neurosurgery. The child sustained injuries as a result of falling out of a window.
Police established that the family was at home at the time of the incident. The parents briefly left the boy unattended, and while alone in the room he managed to climb onto the windowsill and lean on the mosquito net. The net gave way, and the boy fell out of the second-story window. The child is currently receiving medical care. Police are conducting a check. At the same time, investigators have opened a preliminary inquiry into the report of the child’s injury resulting from a fall out of a window.
Citizens are reminded that children should not be left unattended in rooms with open windows and balconies. In addition, furniture and other items that a child could use to climb onto the windowsill should not be placed near window openings. Do not show children how windows are opened; use special window restrictors.
