In the first seven months of 2025, 67 people were injured due to their own negligence on facilities of the Gorky Railway, which includes the Kirov region. This is 10% more than during the same period last year. According to the railway's press service, the most common causes of injuries are crossing the tracks ahead of a moving train and electric shock. Despite ongoing preventive work carried out by railway workers in conjunction with the police and educational institutions, the number of incidents continues to rise. Special attention during patrols is given to passengers with children. People are asked to be especially cautious on platforms, when boarding and disembarking, and to refrain from using phones and headphones while crossing the tracks. Railway workers once again remind that the railway is a high-risk zone, and adherence to safety rules can save lives.
