Kirov resident gave scammers 212 thousand rubles

Recently, a resident of Kirov received a call from an unfamiliar person in a messaging app, offering to convert her diploma into an electronic format. To confirm the action, he convinced her to provide a code from an SMS message.

After that, the woman started receiving calls from so-called FSB and Central Bank employees, who claimed that her personal data was allegedly being used by criminals planning to steal her money. To "save" her savings, the interlocutors suggested transferring them to a supposedly protected account.

Frightened, the woman transferred 212,000 rubles from her credit card to the specified account details. Only then did she realize she had been deceived.

An urgent criminal case has been initiated regarding the fraud. Currently, the police are searching for the perpetrators.
