In 2025, there were 137 road traffic accidents involving motor vehicles in the Kirov region. These accidents resulted in 11 fatalities and 148 injuries.
Every third case involved an injury to a minor. Since the beginning of the year, 60 children and adolescents have been injured in such accidents.
Most accidents were caused by the drivers of motorcycles, scooters, and mopeds. Many of them did not have the right to operate vehicles. A total of 730 such drivers have been suspended from participating in road traffic, including 356 minors.
