Went fishing — woke up somewhere else: a Kirov resident fell asleep in a boat and got lost.

Late in the evening on August 2, the Arbash Police Station received a report that a resident of Yaran District, born in 1973, was missing. The man was fishing with close relatives on the Vyatka River near the village of Kriusha. He set out in a boat during the day but had not returned by evening.

Search operations began. The police personnel were dispatched to assist. They managed to determine the direction of the boat's movement and followed its trail. During the search, the missing person was able to make contact — he said that at some point he fell asleep in the boat, and when he woke up, he could not understand where he was or how to get back. He was advised to stay on the shore.

By morning the next day, the man was found four kilometers from where he had started. He did not need medical assistance, and the police helped him return to his family.
