Starting from October 1, 2025, the salaries of certain categories of public sector employees will increase by 7.6%. The relevant order has been signed by the Russian government.
The raise will affect employees of federal treasury, budgetary, and autonomous institutions, as well as employees of federal government agencies and civilian personnel of military units. The government clarified that the indexation will also affect a number of other categories, without specifying their list.
30.8 billion rubles are allocated in the federal budget for 2025 and the planned periods of 2026 and 2027 to implement this measure.
As stated in the government’s message, the indexation aims to increase the real wages of employees and is carried out within the guarantees established in the Labor Code of the Russian Federation.
