The priest saw a violation of the law in the depiction of the Assumption Cathedral in the "Typical Kirov" public group.

      Father Andrei Lebedev expressed dissatisfaction regarding the depiction of the Uspensky Cathedral on the header of the "Typical Kirov" public page. He noted that the image lacks crosses on the domes, which, in his opinion, violates the recent amendments to the Federal Law "On Freedom of Conscience and Religious Associations," enacted in 2025.

      The law prohibits distorting images of religious objects if those symbols are present in reality. Lebedev suggested that this was a designer's mistake rather than a deliberate editorial decision. He expressed hope that the error would be corrected.

      "I hope this is laziness or a designer's mistake, not the personal stance of the publication's leadership. We look forward to the correction and the page being restored to a complete depiction of the temple with crosses," the priest noted.

      According to the law, the absence of crosses on an image of a religious object can be perceived as disrespect towards religious feelings, unless it pertains to historical or artistic features.
