Anton Dolgikh may very likely be considered a fraudster.

According to the charges presented by the investigators and approved by the prosecutor's office, the court will schedule a hearing on the articles of "complicity in abuse of official authority" and "petty bribe" (Article 291.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Despite being "peanuts," these combined crimes could carry a sentence of up to a decade in prison.

This is contested by representatives of the "bar," who believe that if an acquittal is unlikely—something that Anton Dolgikh himself, who maintains relations with those supporting him, understands—the only hope remaining is for a "probation."

However, most people who have previously encountered the "well-known lawyer"—who likely considers law something akin to a "personal punching bag"—believe that "even three years would be too little to reform Anton."

"Finally making him understand that his dogma—'the louder you shout, the better you are heard'—and the leitmotif—'all are fools, I will bend everyone'—are nothing more than intrusive, often insulting clowning... Especially concerning those who are now deciding the fate of 'Dolgikh's character' according to the strictest law," shared a contact familiar with the well-known lawyer.

Most likely, the date for the first hearing in Dolgikh's criminal case, which is assigned to judge Yan Shavshukov, will be scheduled for mid-August (14 days after the materials are received by the court). However, there is an assumption that it may take place a week earlier—August 7-8—since the six-month detention period expires on the 17th.

According to a source who communicates officially with the detained individual, "the detention has worked to Dolgikh's advantage, or perhaps for his benefit":

"It seems to me that he has realized the unworthiness of his behavior, probably having united the lack of any compassion towards himself. His clownish performances, cheap shows—what's the point? Learn to be quieter and listen more. Nevertheless, the trial process, which is expected to attract maximum media coverage and 'independent observers,' will soon put everything in its place."

Let us recall that on February 18, a preventive measure was chosen for the detained "well-known lawyer" who also claims to be an aspiring politician and human rights activist.

On April 8, the Primorsky District Court dismissed Dolgikh's complaint about the illegality of the decision to initiate a criminal case against him. Anton Vitalyevich's main argument that the proceeding was "unlawful" was the fact of his "confession" before the Investigative Committee, in which he named all the employees of the Russian Post to whom he had transferred money.

Meanwhile, the message about his own crime, as an act of sincere repentance, occurred on January 1, 2025, roughly at the 30th or 31st minute of the New Year, when he began pounding on the door of the Investigative Committee and on himself. However, failing to gain entry, he complained about local investigative bodies to the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin.

On April 11, the Primorsky Court extended the preventive measure against the "well-known lawyer" until April 17.

On June 17, the Regional Court listened for nearly three hours to the arguments presented by the detained Anton Dolgikh, suspected of giving a bribe of 4,500 rubles, and upheld the district court's decision, extending his detention until August 17.
