A car fell into the river in Vyatskopolyansky District: one person has died.
Yesterday, July 31, at 14:40, in the Vyatskopolyansky district near the Ust-Luga settlement, a 64-year-old driver of VAZ-11113022-22, who was intoxicated and had his driver's license revoked, was backing up along a dirt road. At some point, he lost control of the vehicle, which overturned into the Luga River. As a result of the incident, a 65-year-old female passenger was killed, and the driver fled the scene. Police managed to identify the driver, apprehend him, and bring him to the police station.
An investigative check has been initiated by the Vyatskie Polyany Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kirov region, to establish all the circumstances of the incident. A procedural decision will be made based on the results of the investigation.
