The road, repaired for four million, was handed over to be torn apart by trucks.
Residents of Donaurovo, Plotbische, and Arporek settlements fear being cut off from hospitals and shops. The issue is that a year ago, trucks with food supplies could not reach them, after which the government of the Kirov region allocated funds for road repairs. District authorities laid and compacted sand for 4 million rubles, but it did not help. Then, representatives of the Kirov branch of the All-Russian People's Front appealed to the prosecutor's office to have the authorities bring the road to passable condition. The agency filed a lawsuit in court. As a result, the road was not only upgraded but also a weight restriction sign for trucks—no more than eight tons—was installed. In July, this restriction was removed, and loaded timber trucks with trailers began driving on the long-suffering road. Under their weight, 10-centimeter ruts and potholes formed in the dirt track. Now, hundreds of people are driving on the road again, simultaneously wondering—will they get stuck today or not. Passenger cars are constantly unlucky. Recently, a garbage truck got stuck in a sandy "trap." Timber trucks also occasionally get stuck. Local residents do not understand why, having spent so much effort and money on repairing the road, it was handed back to be "destroyed" by the timber trucks. As reported by Valeria Cheremisinova, head of the regional branch of the People's Front, local authorities are probably aware of this situation. Civil activists will regularly write complaints to oversight bodies. Authorities will have to continually grade the road.
