The median salary in Russia increased nearly 1.5 times.
The median salary shows the value that divides all workers into two equal groups: one earning above this level, and the other below. For comparison, in April 2023, this figure amounted to 52,558 rubles, according to RIA Novosti citing Rosstat data.
The highest median salaries were recorded in:
- the tobacco industry — 155,400 rubles;
- extraterritorial organizations — 135,200 rubles;
- the extractive industry — 127,600 rubles;
- IT and communications — 125,600 rubles;
- the financial and insurance sector — 118,300 rubles.
The lowest median salaries are in education (50,500), culture and sports (51,900), and healthcare (56,100).
The survey was conducted in April 2025 among 95,400 organizations (excluding small businesses). A total of 28.4 million employees participated in the study.
