New honorary citizens have been selected in the Kirov region.
The Legislative Assembly supported the governor's proposals to award the title of "Honored Citizen of the Kirov Region" to several residents of the region. Among them is Alexander Voloskov, chairman of the board of directors of the Omutninsk Metallurgical Plant. He was recognized for his contribution to the development of mechanical engineering and the socio-economic development of the region.
The title was also awarded to Gennady Mamaev, general director of the Lepsе plant, and Sergey Smirnov, advisor to the general director of the Mayak plant — for their contributions to industry, strengthening defense, and community activities.
In the field of agriculture, the titles were awarded to Nikolay Kharkin, director of the agrofirm "Sredneivkino," and Vladimir Shulaev, chairman of the board of JSC "Krasnoe Znamya" and a deputy of several convocations of the Legislative Assembly. Both made significant contributions to the development of the region's agro-industrial complex.
Additionally, People's Artist of Russia Viktor Kharlov was named an honorary citizen. He was recognized for his many years of creative activity and his contribution to the development and promotion of visual art in the Kirov Region.
