Today, a bill aimed at supporting the agro-processing industry and its amendments were discussed simultaneously in two committees—the Committee on Agricultural Policy and the Committee on Economics, Budget, and Entrepreneurship Development.
The bill concerns amendments to regional laws on corporate property tax and transportation tax. The goal is to more clearly define the conditions under which agricultural producers engaged in processing their raw materials can benefit from tax incentives. This is especially important for small enterprises that fear losing their right to tax exemptions when expanding processing capacities.
For the second reading, the deputies refined the document, taking into account the remarks of the tax authorities. The mechanisms for calculating and confirming eligibility for benefits were clarified.
At the committee meetings, the bill and proposed amendments were supported unanimously. The final review of the document is scheduled for July 24 during the regional assembly session.
