At the State Duma committee meeting, the development of rural tourism was discussed. In particular, an initiative was proposed to strengthen informational outreach to agricultural producers so that they could participate more actively in the "Agrotourism" grant program.
Currently, a special project is in place in the region, allowing farmers to receive government support for developing tourism on their premises. In 2024, grants have already helped two sites to expand: a maral farm in Nagorsky District and the Demyanovo Eco-Farm. They have expanded, purchased equipment, improved the territory, and created new jobs. The eco-farm will receive another 10 million rubles grant, which will allow for the construction of tourist houses and infrastructure improvements.
The Ministry of Economic Development expects the number of contest participants to increase. Plans include consultations with federal specialists on application procedures. An important condition for participation remains the interest of the agricultural enterprises themselves.
Following the discussion, the committee recommended that ministries inform potential participants in advance about opportunities in the field of agrotourism, available support, and legislative changes. It was also proposed to collect and disseminate successful experiences of local projects to assist other entrepreneurs.
