Today, at the meeting of the legislative assembly committee, Minister of Property Relations Tatiana Polomskikh spoke. She presented the deputies with a list of real estate objects planned for sale as part of the privatization program. Several elected representatives immediately protested, noting that when they sold the Kirov office in Moscow, their opinions were not asked, but now they are. Polomskikh calmly replied that in March, a letter informing about the upcoming auction was sent to the legislative assembly. However, based on the deputies' responses, they had not seen this letter at all.
Polomskikh also explained why it was necessary to sell the building: "In the conditions of the SVO, investing money in repairs of a building that was initially in poor condition was not something we could afford. Moreover, price analysis showed that we could profitably sell the property and purchase a smaller premises for the office, while the remaining funds could be directed to social needs. Additionally, the building is located in an area with three cultural heritage objects, making earthworks difficult there."
The speaker was also asked why the funds from the sale have not yet been transferred to the regional budget. She responded that it is only a matter of time and that the specialists have not yet completed the necessary paperwork.
