UFSIN employee took gold and silver at the World Mountain Biking Championship

      According to the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Kirov region, the international competitions took place in the Atyubinsk region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The program included disciplines such as "Trial," "Figure cycling," and "Obstacle course." Races were held on rough terrain under conditions similar to a trek. Judging was conducted according to the rules of Kazakhstani cycle tourism.

      A total of athletes from Moscow, Ulyanovsk, Orenburg regions, the Mari El Republic, and the city of Kirov competed for the Russian team. Four participants from the Kirov region joined the team, including SIZO-2 employee Karina Vtiurina.

      As a result of the competition, she took first place in the mixed relay in the "Trial" discipline and second place in the mixed relay in the "Figure cycling" discipline. The Federal Penitentiary Service noted that the relay is a new direction in cycling disciplines, previously not represented in Russian competitions.
