According to the authors, the reason is that current fines are not always effective. Indeed, they start at 500 rubles. If the Legislative Assembly approves the initiative, fines will increase several times. For example, citizens will have to pay 2-5 thousand rubles for such violations, officials twice as much, and legal entities five to six times more. The amount of fines varies depending on the violation. The Legislative Assembly committee supported the bill.
