Applications for IT deferral for the fall 2025 draft have begun.
The Ministry of Digital Development of Russia announced the start of application submissions for IT deferrals from conscription for citizens working in the information technology sector. Applications can be submitted through the Gosuslugi portal until August 6, 2025. Different deadlines apply for residents of the Far North regions and equivalent localities.
Employers must confirm the employee's data in their personal account on Gosuslugi by August 11, 2025, and send the information to the Ministry of Digital Development.
If the employee does not submit an application independently, the organization has the right to include them in the deferral list.
IT specialists are advised to carefully verify all personal data, including information about the military registration office, company, TIN, and diploma. It is also important to ensure that the HR department has transmitted the information to the Ministry of Digital Development and to keep a record of their application number.
The Ministry of Digital Development will forward the information to the Ministry of Defense of Russia by September 1, 2025. The conscription commission will decide on granting the deferral between October 1 and December 31, 2025.
