Moscow rains will bypass the Kirov region.

Moscow rains will bypass the Kirov region.

According to data from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), from July 21 to 31, more than 100 mm of precipitation may fall in the Southern Urals—particularly affecting the Sverdlovsk region, where rainfall could exceed 150 mm. However, Kirov Region, as in previous periods, will remain unaffected by intense downpours.

As explained by the authors of the "Amateur Meteorology in Kirov" community, the popular belief that "clouds were dispersed over Moscow, so it's pouring here" is nothing more than a myth. Synoptic processes are much more complex, and rain from Moscow does not always reach Kirov. Such a connection is only possible during the passage of western cyclones—but no such weather conditions are expected in the coming days.

According to forecast models, Kirov Region will once again be on the periphery of the active atmospheric front zone and will avoid significant precipitation.
