
Two people have died on Kirov roads in two days.
On Friday, July 18, in Yuryevsky District at kilometer 452 of the Vyatka highway, a fatal accident occurred: a motorcyclist on a KTP motorcycle collided with a moose that ran onto the roadway. As a result, the motorcycle was thrown under a car traveling in the opposite lane. According to the regional traffic police, the motorcyclist died, and a 41-year-old woman passenger on the motorcycle was injured.
Another fatal accident occurred on Saturday, July 19, in Kirovo-Chepetsk: at 8 a.m., on Lenin Street near house №15, a 67-year-old driver in a Peugeot ran over an 83-year-old woman pedestrian. The elderly woman died in the hospital as a result of the accident.
Also on Saturday, July 19, in Kiknur urban-type settlement, at 3:50 a.m., on Sovetskaya Street near house №57A, a 17-year-old driver of a VAZ-2110 lost control and crashed into a tree. Both the driver and his 18-year-old passenger were injured.
In total, over the past weekend, 15 traffic accidents occurred in the Kirov region, resulting in two deaths and 17 injuries of varying severity.
