The Prosecutor's Office of Orichevsky District, Kirov Region, has filed a lawsuit demanding the recovery of over 4.5 million rubles transferred to the accounts of a former investigator and his wife to the state treasury. According to the press service of the Kirov Region Prosecutor's Office, the man was unable to confirm the legal origin of these funds.
According to the supervisory authority, between 2021 and 2023, significant sums were deposited into the bank accounts of the former police officer and his wife. However, during the investigation of compliance with anti-corruption legislation, it was not possible to establish legitimate sources of the funds.
The prosecutor's office also secured a protective measure — the court prohibited the defendant from disposing of the money in his bank accounts.
The progress of the case is under the control of the prosecutor's office.
