Residents of the Yaran district were left without a beach.
Governor Alexander Sokolov ordered the restoration of the beach in Savino village, Yaransky district, which was closed on July 15 by the decision of the local Duma. This happened at the height of the swimming season, despite the fact that the beach is popular not only with local residents but also with residents of Yaranik.
District head Alena Trushkova explained that for the third year, the maintenance of the beach has been funded from the district budget, and this year the settlement received all the necessary funds. However, the head of the rural settlement requested additional financing.
During the inspection, it was revealed that authorities had signed a contract with an affiliated person to install changing rooms on the beach.
Sokolov instructed his subordinates to go to the site, check how the budget money was spent, and send all materials to law enforcement agencies. He emphasized that the beach must be operational, as it concerns people's safety.
