An auto-café caught fire in Vyatskiye Polyany.

      Yesterday, on July 15, a deep fryer caught fire inside an auto cafe in Vyatskie Polyany. An employee tried to move the appliance outside, but he only made things worse: he spilled the hot oil, and a fire immediately broke out. Six people and two units of equipment from the Russian EMERCOM quickly arrived at the scene. The fire was successfully extinguished over an area of 20 square meters. The cause of the fire is believed to be a malfunction of the deep fryer, according to the department's press service. The man was hospitalized with burns to his hands. The Russian EMERCOM recommends that in case of an oil fire, people should cover the pot with a lid, turn off the heat, and wait for the oil to cool down, not to put it out with water or try to move the container. To extinguish a burning oil fire, a powder fire extinguisher, baking soda, earth, or sand should be used.
