What has increased the most
Food prices rose by 0.5% in a month. The biggest increase hit Kirov residents’ wallets — chilled and frozen chicken (+5.6%). Next came salted and smoked fish, squids (+3.3%) and minced meat (+2.9%). The only pleasant change was turkey meat — it became almost 4% cheaper.
Sweet tooths had to spend more on cupcakes and roll cakes (+5.1%), chocolate and cakes (+3.4%). Prices also increased by a couple of percent for soda, beer, and ice cream. However, eggs became noticeably cheaper — by 24% in a month, along with pasta and condensed milk.
Where prices have fallen
Non-food goods, on the other hand, decreased in price by an average of 0.2% over the month. This was especially noticeable in electronics and appliances — laptops became 5.3% cheaper, headphones — 4.5%, and TVs — almost 3%. Prices also dropped for washing machines, vacuum cleaners, and LED lamps. However, household stoves became 2.8% more expensive.
Fuel and leisure
Car owners faced rising fuel prices — AI-95 increased by 1.5%, AI-92 by 1.3%. Diesel fuel slightly decreased in price, and gas fuel remained stable.
Services also increased — on average, by 0.4% over the month. The biggest hikes were for trips to the seaside — vacation on the Black Sea coast rose almost 9%, and Southeast Asian trips — by 10.6%. Meanwhile, trips to Egypt became 14.3% cheaper. Prices for men's haircuts, apartment rentals, and cinema tickets also rose. Taxi fares became 2.6% more expensive.
