Bastrykin became interested in the terrible living conditions of the woman from Kirov.

A resident of Kirov turned to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, for assistance. The woman reported that her mother's rights had been violated; her mother lives in a multi-apartment building on Depovskaya Street in Kirov.

The building, constructed in 1957, has never undergone repairs, causing the supporting structures to rot and deteriorate. Additionally, the veranda collapsed, and the engineering networks have worn out. The building also lacks a sewage system, hot water supply, heating, and the stove equipment is malfunctioning.

Five years ago, the house was recognized as emergency and was evacuated, but the woman’s mother was not provided with improved housing. Numerous appeals to various authorities yielded no results. The Kirov resident also noted that despite paying for services, the management company’s staff do not maintain the building.

A criminal case has been initiated by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kirov region based on these circumstances. Bastrykin requested the acting head of the regional investigative department to report on the progress and results of the investigation. The implementation of this instruction has been placed under the control of the agency’s central office.
