A worker was crushed by a transport cart in Kirovo-Chepetsk.
The Regional State Labour Inspectorate has concluded an investigation into a serious accident that occurred with a 22-year-old delivery driver from one of the companies in Kirovo-Chepetsk.
The agency reported that on that day — June 7 — while moving a transport cart with goods, the cart began tilting to one side and then fell on the worker. Colleagues of the injured person called an ambulance.
According to medical conclusions, the injuries sustained by the man are classified as severe.
After conducting the investigation, the Labour Inspectorate concluded that the causes of the accident were the failure to provide safety training and assessments to the injured employee, as well as the lack of supervision over the driver’s compliance with safety requirements during work.
“During the investigation, violations were also identified regarding the procedures for medical examinations and the provision of the required personal protective equipment to the worker in incomplete measures. These violations are not the direct cause of this accident but indicate violations of state occupational safety standards by the company and its officials,” the agency reported.
Currently, the question of bringing the legal entity and responsible officials to administrative responsibility is being considered.
