A new era has begun for Vyatka gardeners.
In a ceremonial setting, specialists from Gazprom Gas Distribution Kirov connected homes in the Taliska-3 and Taliska-4 gardening cooperatives to the blue flame. Participating in the gas launch were State Duma deputy and Chairman of the Union of Gardeners of Russia Oleg Valenchuk, and Alexander Chilikin, General Director of Gazprom Gas Distribution Kirov and LLC Gazprom Interregional Gas Kirov.
Homeowner Polina Timina warmly welcomed guests and set the kettle on the gas burner.
"We moved here two years ago," the woman said. "We heated the house with solid fuel and electricity. All this is quite expensive and takes a lot of time. So we were very happy to learn that our chairman quickly gathered all the documents and submitted an application for gas connection. Now, there's nothing to do: the boiler is on, the house is warm, and hot water flows from the tap. Everything is like in an apartment. Previously, we took turns in the shower—waiting for the water heater to warm up the next portion."
In Taliska-4, a solitary pensioner wished to connect to gas but realized she couldn't afford the costs for the boiler and radiators. She came to the celebration to rejoice for her neighbors and learned that she could receive a subsidy of 100,000 rubles for equipment, which would cover all her expenses. She immediately submitted an application through Gazprom's mobile office.
The total length of pipelines built as part of the gasification program amounted to 1.8 km, enabling gas supply to 107 households. So far, 70 applications for gasification have been received from residents of two gardening cooperatives, 34 contracts have been signed, all fulfilled—the networks are built up to the boundaries of land plots. Some of the homes are already using network gas.
"The Government of Kirov Region approved the schedule for the gasification of the gardening cooperatives, which includes over 600 households. To date, more than 340 contracts have been signed in 44 gardening partnerships. Construction and installation work is actively underway: gas is supplied to more than 40 plots. Work continues to enable even more residents of the region to benefit from the advantages of network gas," emphasized Alexander Chilikin. Oleg Valenchuk, deputy chairman of the Government Commission on Gardening, noted that the start of the social gasification process in the gardening cooperatives was the result of coordinated work by all concerned executive authorities.
"For gardeners, a new era has begun, because gasification provides the incentive for the development of gardening movement in the country. Our commission, chaired by Dmitry Patrushev, pays great attention to this issue, coordinating the work of all ministries and agencies. Despite the many bureaucratic procedures to overcome, I have no doubt that the President of Russia's order will be fulfilled. This will allow people to save significant money, enable them to start and finish the gardening season in comfort, and for some, move out of the city for permanent residence," said Oleg Valenchuk.
