Rare plants found in the Kilmetsky district

      In the Kilmezsky District, environmental specialists surveyed regional natural monuments and discovered rare plants on their territories. One of the main findings was a population of the orchid called Lady's Slipper, found on the slopes of the "Krasnaya Gora" natural monument. This plant is characterized by bright flowering and is an endangered species under special protection. The Lady's Slipper is listed in the Red Book of Russia and requires constant monitoring. Additionally, on protected sites, specialists recorded the presence of other rare plants, including Potentilla recta and Centaurea cyanus. Currently, there are six regional natural monuments in the Kilmezsky District, covering a total area of over 1,200 hectares.
