In the Orichevsky district, a man beat a roommate to death in a sanatorium.

      Investigators have opened a criminal case after the discovery of a 63-year-old man's body with signs of violent death in a sanatorium in the village of Kolos, Orichevsky District. According to the investigation, the suspect involved in the crime is a resident of the Komi Republic, a neighbor of the deceased.

      As reported by the Investigative Committee of the Kirov Region, the tragedy occurred on the evening of June 27. The men was residing in the same room at the sanatorium. Preliminary data indicates that the suspect, in a state of intoxication, delivered several blows to the victim's head and body with his hands and feet. The man died on the spot from his injuries.

      A criminal case has been filed under Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, which resulted in accidental death. The suspect has been charged, and a court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention.

      As part of the investigation, a scene examination has been conducted, witnesses have been questioned, and forensic examinations have been assigned. The investigation is ongoing, and all circumstances of the incident are being established.
