Kirov conscripts will join the ranks of paratroopers and border guards
On Tuesday, July 2nd, a solemn send-off of draftees for military service took place at the assembly point of the Kirov region military enlistment office. Recall that the spring draft began on April 1st and will end on July 15th. According to the Kirov regional government, of the 70 individuals, 25 will join the border guard troops and will serve in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The remaining 45 recruits will serve in the Airborne Forces (city of Kubinka, city of Omsk). The boys prepared for service in the VDV in advance: many of the draftees underwent serious sports training and jumped with a parachute multiple times. Before their departure, local residents who had served in the VDV offered words of encouragement. Veteran of the Airborne Forces and chairman of the public organization "Union of Paratroopers and Veterans of Combat Operations of the Kirov Region" Andrey Khromushin reminded the draftees of the VDV motto "Nobody but us!" and wished them to always follow it. With farewell words, also, spoke Alexander Manylov, a teacher-organizer of the children and youth center named after Saint Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky, who wished the boys an easy service. The draftees shared their impressions as well. "We have long dreamed of joining the VDV and are glad that everything worked out," said Vladimir and Oleg, graduates of the Vyatka Railway Technical School.
