The All-Russian Rural Sabantuy has started in Vyatskiye Polyany.
On June 28, festivities dedicated to the All-Russian Rural Sabantuy began in the city of Vyatskie Polyany. This holiday symbolizes the completion of spring fieldwork.
According to the regional government, this year Sabantuy is being held in Vyatskie Polyany for the first time. Representatives from about 70 regions of the country attended the event. An extensive program was prepared for the guests: sports competitions, exhibitions, fairs, cultural performances, and master classes were held at dozens of venues. Among those who visited the venues were our governor Alexander Sokolov, the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Governor of the Penza Region Oleg Melnichenko, and representatives of the government of Bashkiria. They viewed an agricultural machinery exhibition, visited an ethnovillage, and toured national farmsteads.
