
It has become known how much residents of the Volga Federal District spend on children's goods.
Among more than 10,000 respondents surveyed, a third (33%) admit that they spend over 50,000 rubles on children's goods such as clothing, diapers, toys, and more. On average, residents of the Volga Federal District (VFD) spend about 40,306 rubles a year on goods for a child under 12 years old.
58 percent of surveyed VFD residents have bought at least one item for their child second-hand. Another 16 percent have never purchased children's items through resale but are considering this option. In other words, nearly 7 out of 10 residents of the region are not opposed to buying used children's goods.
VFD residents are willing to buy children’s furniture (cribs, changing tables, chairs – 49%) and strollers (45%) second-hand. A third (30%) consider buying used outerwear, 22% — books and goods for child development, and 20% — equipment (in particular, sterilizers, baby monitors, etc.). Also, 14 percent are willing to purchase children's toys on resale platforms, and another 14 percent would buy everyday clothing and shoes. Items in perfect condition that were not needed or were only used a couple of times are often sold on classified ad platforms. Reselling is a solution in cases where a child has outgrown clothing or other goods, reports the portal volga.news.
