
Hive thieves paid 507,000 rubles
The prosecutor's office of the Kirov region has approved the indictment in a criminal case against three members of an organized group. The men are charged with committing multiple crimes, including illegal hunting, possession of firearm weapons, and theft of property. Depending on each individual's role, the charges are formulated under several articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The investigation established that from July to September 2024, the accused, acting in concert, illegally shot ten elk in the Kotelnichsky and Svechinsky districts of the region, causing environmental damage amounting to 800,000 rubles. The detainees intended to sell the meat of the wild animals. To conceal the trace of the crime, one of the participants arranged a stash in his UAZ vehicle to hide the weapons.
Additionally, the group stole eight beehives with bees and honey, as well as a hunting tower. The total value of the stolen property exceeded 450,000 rubles.
During the arrest, one of the accused was found with homemade firearms, which are in illegal circulation. During the investigation, assets belonging to the defendants, valued at over 1.3 million rubles, were seized. Currently, they have reimbursed the victims in the amount of 507,000 rubles.
The criminal case with the approved indictment has been sent to the Kotelnichsky District Court of the Kirov region for trial.
