The second street renaming trial was suspended in Kirov.
Today, the regional court was supposed to hold the first court hearing to consider the claim of social activist Andrei Vorobyov to the Kirov City Duma. He wants to challenge the Duma's decision to rename streets in Kirov, on one of which, by the way, he lives.
In addition to the representatives of the defendant and the plaintiff himself, the Kirov communists, who also actively oppose the renaming, appeared at the court session. The defendant suddenly suggested suspending the case.
The reason was that yesterday the regional court ruled on a very similar case, which also concerned the renaming of streets. These cases were never combined into one, so they had to be considered separately. And the court did not want to make a second decision before the first one came into force. However, it seems that there is still a long time before that, since the plaintiffs in the first case plan to file an appeal.
In conversation with Newsler.ru Vorobyov expressed the opinion that it would really be worthwhile to combine the cases, but, unfortunately, this was not done. He also promised to study the court's decision in the first case, where he acted as a listener, and after that choose which way to go in order to restore his rights.
